Subprocessors

These are the service providers that process personal data for MicroSurveys. Each one handles only the data it needs to provide its service to us.
| Vendor | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Railway | Hosting: runs our console and API, our database, and file storage for attachments added to issue reports. | All data described in our privacy policy: customer accounts, project settings and survey data. |
| Anthropic | AI insights: the Claude API tags themes and sentiment in open-text answers and writes summaries. | Survey and question text; open-text answers, with email addresses, phone numbers, payment card numbers and IBANs removed first; the same person's ratings, platform, app version and triggering event. No end-user ids or user properties. |
| Resend | Sends sign-in and transactional emails. | Customer account email addresses and the content of those emails. |
| Sentry | Error monitoring for the console. | Error reports and logs, with sign-in tokens, keys, cookies and IP addresses removed. |
| Amplitude | Product analytics on our website, docs and console. | Page views, sessions and clicks of visitors and console users. Fields showing secret keys are masked, as is the text of survey results, team lists and settings that hold personal data. |
| Hotjar | Heatmaps and session recordings on our production website, docs and console. | How visitors and console users move through our pages. Fields showing secret keys are excluded, and all text in the console is masked. |
Services you choose
Google and Microsoft confirm your identity when you choose to sign in with them. If you connect your own Amplitude account to a project, we use your credentials only to import your event and property names. These services act under your own agreements with them.
Our SDKs don't include any of the analytics or monitoring tools above. Inside our customers' apps, the SDK sends survey data only to MicroSurveys. The one other request it can make: if a customer picks a Google font for their survey theme, the web and iOS SDKs download that font from Google Fonts, which sees the device's IP address like any web request.
